Double Boil Chicken Whole Leg with Shou Wu

Ingredients

1 no chicken whole leg

15g “Shau Wu”

20g Rhemenia Root/”Shou Di”

20g medlar seeds

15g dried longan

350ml boiling water

Method

1. Rinse the chicken whole leg and cut into big pieces or halved. Blanch into boiling water for a while. Remove and place into the double boiler.

2. Add in “Shou Wu”, rhemenia root and the rest of ingredients, pour in boiling water. Covered and double boil over a low heat for about 2 1/2 hours. Remove from heat.
