A Little Guy Woking in His Big Kitchen

Hakka Nam Yee Red Sauce

8 pcs nam yee or fermented red bean curd
3 tbsp chopped garlic
3 tbsp chopped shallots
1 tbsp ginger
2 star anise
5 cm cinnamon stick
3 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp shaoxing wine
500ml water
100ml oil

Heat up oil, saute shallot and garlic until fragrant. Add in the remaining ingredients and bring to boil until thick.
