Vegetarian Chicken with Black Pepper and Cucumber


150g vegetarian chicken slices

250g japanese cucumber cut into pieces

6 dried chillies, seeded and sectioned

6 stalks baby sweet corns, sectioned

8 straw mushrooms

some shredded ginger

2 tbsp water


2 tsp black peppercorns, crushed

1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce

2 tbsp light soy sauce

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp sesame oil


1. Rinse the straw mushrooms and cut into halves, then blench into boiling water. Remove and drain well. Keep aside.

2. Rinse the vegetarian chicken slices and drained. Deep fry into hot oil until golden color. Remove and drain well.

3. Heat up 1tbsp oil into preheated work to fragrant ginger slices and dried chillies. Add in prefried vegetarian chicken slices and seasoning, stir-fry briskly until well combined. Place in the remaining ingredients, cook for a moment or until the sauce is slightly absorbed. Dish up and serve.
